Istibyani is a community of people who are interested in taking surveys and polls online in return of rewards.

How Can I Join Istibyani?

You can Join us and participate in surveys either by clicking on "Sign Up” link on the homepage or by clicking on “Signup with Facebook” “signup with Gmail”. In case you select to sign up with name and Email address and after filling all of the required information you will receive an activation email at the email address you have provided to us during the registration process. To activate your membership on Istibyani, you will need to follow the instructions in the activation email. In case you select to use Facebook or Gmail then once you accept the link of your account you will automatically be registered.

Why do I need to verify my email address?

We require that you verify your email address by clicking on the activation link you have received so that we can verify that your email doesn’t belong to someone else and that it is valid.

Why is it important to verify your email?

If you don’t verify your email, you won’t be eligible to take any surveys or polls. Istibyani excludes members who did not verify their accounts from survey invites.

Who can join Istibyani?

Anyone who is 15 years old or older, and currently lives in any of the following countries: Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Yemen, Djibouti, Syria, Sudan and Iraq can join Istibyani.

Do I have to pay anything to join?

No, Istibyani is a free service. On the contrary, Istibyani can reward eligible members for participating in, and completing, surveys and polls.

I have registered but I did not receive the activation email.

Please first check the “spam” or “junk” folder of the email account that you provided during your registration. Sometimes the activation email is considered as spam by some email service providers. If the email has been filed in the “spam” or “junk” folder, please click on “not spam” at the top of the page (or relevant place) to make sure that you will receive all future Istibyani notifications and survey invitations in your “inbox“. If the email in not in the spam folder then please check the details of the email address you provided to us when you filled out the registration information. I forgot my password, how can I login?

In the event that you have forgotten your Istibyani password, simply click on “Forgot password” link on the Istibyani home page here. Please don’t forget to check your “junk” or “spam” folder if you did not find the email that contains the new the password in your inbox folder, as sometimes email service providers consider the email as spam. We advise that you either click on “not spam” button or add the sender email address to your contact list to ensure receiving Istibyani communication on your inbox directly. To login after you have reset your password, please enter the email address you provided during the registration process and your new reset password. We advise that you choose a memorable password. You can change your password by clicking on “Update your profile” then “Change password”. We recommended that your password consists of at least 6 characters. Please note that passwords are case sensitive and must be entered without spaces.

Can I have multiple accounts?

Istibyani only allow one account per user. Trying to open multiple account can lead to the termination of your account and loss of all points collected. Please check our Terms & Conditions.

You can easily update the information given on your registration form by clicking on “update profile” link in the account list at the top of home page.

How can I change my password?

You can easily change your password by “update profile” link in the account list at the top of home page, and then click on the “change password” link. For more information on passwords, please refer to the question ‘I forgot my password, how can I login?



Is my personal information shared with any other companies?

Istibyani takes its members’ privacy very seriously. Please review our Privacy Policy to answer questions about how we treat your personal information. The results that are presented to the end client companies or commissioners are based on numbers and percentage and do not share the participants’ personal data. For example if we have a question on whether a member is a smoker or not, our response to the end Client Company or commissioner will be that 40% of respondents smoke, and 60% don’t. How can I redeem my points?

I don’t have a Paypal account, what should I do?

If you don’t have an account with Paypal then you will need to create a Pyapal account to be able to redeem the points. To create your account you can click here

What is Paypal?

Paypal is a payment service provider. To get more information about Paypal visit their website by clicking here. I have points, but I can’t redeem them?

Please note that the minimum balance that you need to have accumulated before you are able to redeem them is $5. Until you have accumulated $5, you will not be able to redeem any points. If you have $5 and you are unable to redeem then please contact us.

Why my points are getting deducted?

Istibyani runs quality checks on survey responses after their completion to identify invalid and incorrectly completed surveys that do not provide correct research insights. At all times we advise you to answer each and every survey in a truthful manner and take proper time to read all the questions and answers to avoid your survey being labeled as invalid resulting in points from your account being deducted. Members may be notified via email of points being deducted from their account.

Do my points with Istibyani ever expire?

Yes, points expire 12 months after they have been credited to your account.

I can’t redeem all of my points. Why?

A maximum of $500 can be redeemed per transaction. Any amount above that is not fully redeemable.

Who can participate in surveys?

To be eligible for participating in a survey, you must: 1. Have an active account with the service, set up in accordance with the terms of service; 2. Be 15 years of age or older; 3. Be a resident in : Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Yemen, Djibouti, Syria, Sudan and Iraq

What are the surveys about and what are they used for?

The surveys cover a wide range of products and services as well as questions about behavior and lifestyle. Some examples are: advertising testing, specific product usage, attitude towards a specific category or product, usage habits of specific products and many other topics. The results of these surveys are collected and may be presented to other companies. The results can help them make decisions and changes to their services and products. For example, we may ask our members who viewed a chocolate advertisement online during the past 3 weeks on Yahoo! network their general impressions towards it, to find out more about how the ad is doing and whether they like it or not, to eventually gain insights and measure the effectiveness of that advertisement.

How can I participate in surveys?

An invitation will be posted in your Istibyani account or may be sent to you via email. You should check your account regularly to see if there are surveys to which you have been invited to participate.

What do I get in return of participating in the surveys?

The first and most important return is having your voice heard and participating in making the products and services offered and considered by the survey better to suite your needs. In addition to that, each time you complete a survey you may be eligible for reward points which you may be able to redeem either with instant rewards or raffle entries. Does Istibyani advertise and/or promote any other products to members through its service or website?

Istibyani does not in any way try to advertise, promote or even aim to sell any other companies’ products and services to its members. Istibyani is the research median between the producer and the consumer delivering research insights by collecting, analyzing and understanding members’ opinions through online surveys.

If I participate in a survey through the website can I participate in the same survey through the email invite?

No, you can only participate once in each survey. The system will detect that you have already participated in the survey and will not allow you to participate again.

I have started a survey but I was not able to complete it. What is the reason for that?

There are many reasons why this can happen including: 1. Out of target or screened out: This means that your profile doesn’t match the survey criteria or profile requirements that the survey is aiming at. For example, in one of the surveys we are looking for users who consumed product X during the past 30 days and you did not consume product X. Then once it is identified that you do not meet the survey requirement the survey will end automatically. Please keep in mind that not matching the profile in one survey does not mean that your profile is not needed. It only means that your profile does not meet the product or service that is being researched. However, there are other surveys that will be looking for your profile. 2. Quota full: This means that the number of members with the required profile for the said survey has been reached. For example if we need 200 males and 200 females for a survey and we have already reached 200 males then, the additional participants (i.e. male number 201) will not be able to continue the survey. To benefit from falling within the required quota, we encourage you to respond to the survey invites as soon as possible. 3. Survey closed: The surveys run by Istibyani run for a specified period of time. Once the deadline is reached you will not be able to start the survey. To benefit from participating in the survey, we encourage you to respond to the survey invites as soon as possible. 4. Double participation: In the event that you have already participated in a survey and try to access it again to participate, you will not be able to access it. Please check your account to see your activity history and the surveys you completed in the past.

Do I get points for participating in polls?

Yes, points are granted for participating in polls. Each poll has a number of points allocated to it and it is mentioned next to the answer options.
